Instagram stories are a game changer when it comes to interacting and engaging with your audience. If you haven’t utilized this vertical to its full potential, then now is the time to start.
You have no idea the power Instagram stories hold.
Sounds intriguing, right? It definitely is fun but there’s a little catch. Uploading Instagram stories is of course not the hardest part, but what to upload is. Keeping up with the consistency and not losing that fun element will be the challenge.
Well, I’ll be taking care of that for you. I am going to give you 300 Instagram story ideas for the next 30 days, yes that’s right, 10 for each day. You are sorted for a month.
Let’s jump right in.
Day 1- Question box:
Ask your audience a very basic yet profound question. This will make them reminisce about their old days while answering that question. Then repost the answers by writing your thoughts on them. This is one of the Instagram story ideas that works for multiple aspects. From getting your audience to know you better to getting to know your audience.
Day 2- A day with me:
Post live pictures of activities you’ll be doing throughout the day. It could be the venue of your meetings or the food you’ll be eating. This will make your audience feel connected with you as they get to know and see what it’s like to be you.
Day 3: A day to introduce your friends:
Your audience loves to know details about you and your personal life. Give them a glimpse of it. Share pictures and introduce your friends to your audience. Add ons: mention the no. of years you’ve been friends for or a fun story (if any) of how you became friends.
Day 4: Hahahahhaa, stop it now xD
You take so many screenshots or save memes on an everyday basis. Some generic, some very relatable. Share it with your audience and give them a good laugh. You might engage with some followers who share the same taste.
Day 5: Amazon favourites:
This is a popular trend. If you bought some life-changing products from Amazon, share them with your audience. If you are into affiliate marketing then share the affiliate links in the story. You’ll be making some extra coins that month.
Day 6- Nostalgic Potion:
Drive your audience into the nostalgic lane by sharing pictures from your childhood. You can also record the reactions of your parents explaining the story behind them. This would be a nice ride back into the time.
Alert: Your parents might embarrass you, and you could become a laughing stock. Sorry :’)
Day 7: Favourite Instagram pages
Everyone has their list of favorite Instagram pages. Be it because of the aesthetic feed, entertaining stories, or engaging content. Share your favorite pages and don’t forget to mention the reason for it. You might get reposted by those pages, and gain new followers.
Day 8 – Choose wisely:
Your audience would love this because mine does. Most of the Instagram story ideas can be for a particular day but this one can go on for 3 days. Pick a theme, since wedding season is right around the corner I would pick that. Create polls/this or that picking sub-category in this main category. For eg: colors, ceremonies, jewelry, etc. You are sorted for a few days. You’re welcome.
Day 11: A day in your city:
Everyone has their secret spots around the city they love spending time at. Share that with a new perspective. A non-resident of your city might know about the popular places but would love to know about those intimate places that no one else tells them about.
Day 12: Haul time:
Did you make a big purchase? Or many small purchases? Share it with your audience. They would love to know where and what you invest your money in. Add ons: mention why you choose that particular item and from where.

Day 14: Scratch your mind time:
Choose an entertaining or informative topic. Then create an interesting yet easy quiz for your audience. This will not only get their heads scratching but also make them engage with you on how many they got right and wrong. My purpose of Instagram story ideas is not just putting information out there but to also to get your audience participate voluntarily with your page.
Day 15: Are you okay?
Ask your audience how they are doing. There are many people out there who are unable to share their life situations. But strangers becoming friends over the internet has a weirdly wonderful bond. Whenever I ask the above question, my DM gets overwhelmed with the responses. They get it out of their chest and you make it happen.
Day 16: Movie Mania
I can go on and on about my favorite movies and their plots. There are so many movies out there that people need to know about, some famous, some not so famous. Share your list of favorite movies, with an intriguing review. Add ons: you can share a peek of your favorite scenes too.
Day 17: Whys and Hows
It’s time to answer some of the basic questions by yourself. Why did you start your career? How did you do it? What obstacles did you face? Did you do it all alone? Did you have any support? Give a shoutout to people who did. Answering these questions will have people clearing their own set of doubts and hindrances. You might be able to motivate a lot of people. Give yourself a pat on the back.
Day 18: Repeat the fun
It’s time for the fun and mind-scratching poll time. I do this every alternate day but if it’s too much for you, repeat it every week or every 2 weeks. This will cover up to 3 days for you and you will be sorted.
Day 21: Not for singles
Shoutout to your partner for the love and support they give you. Share your favorite pictures with them. This will be an engaging and entertaining streak for your audience and a sweet gesture for your partner. You could share candid fun videos and add romantic music to it, “Dumb conversation, we lose track of time, have I told you lately, that I am grateful you are mine”.
Day 22: Music is therapy.
Do you know why sometimes I love listening to the radio? Because of ‘The surprise element’. If you are in control of your playlist, you know what songs are upcoming. A realistic approach and dose of motivation can work like magic in people’s lives. You read a line that’s sitting right in your mind, right? This is exactly how this is going to work. You never know who might be able to leave their procrastination and start their own journey.
Day 29: Drive in the Archive
This right here will give you so many moments to cringe on. If you’re reading this in 2021 or 2022, go back to the Instagram story archive of 2017 or 2018, and share those Instagram stories again. Don’t forget to add an explanation behind that picture or a one liner, ‘what was I thinking?’
Day 30: It’s review time.
Remember on our 12th day, you did a haul? Well, it’s about time you review them. Share a detailed review of the products. Let your audience know which products they should invest in and which ones to omit.
